The journey to Ourika takes you through the panoramic High Atlas Mountains, with a view of colourful lush landscapes along the way. Marvel at the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains as you leave Marrakech – a true contrast of the varied landscape of Morocco. There will be a chance to see Berber villages along the way as you travel towards Ourika River. The area is renewed for its spectacular green scenery, supplied by the system valleys and ravines that keep it lush.

If time permits there are various activities you can do – visit the Ourika falls, head off to the ski resort of Oukaïmeden, or continue on to Setti Fatma to see the Seven Waterfalls. After a lunch enjoyed at one of the restaurants alongside the river (accessed by one of many hanging bridges), you will travel back to Marrakech, taking time to marvel at the meadows and weeping willows, as well as the clay-built villages that hang to the cliffs.

What People Say

My favourite day trip outside of Marrakech! Such a great experience with Moorish Adventures - the mini van was comfortable and the guide was very knowledgeable. They took us to this great place by the river to have lunch - so stunning! The valley is really beautiful and green, and if you visit in summer make sure to bring your bathing suit as there are some waterfalls. Absolutely great day out, thanks Moorish Adventures!
